Our Story
From a simple question to a movement — this is how the Dee Stall Experience began.
The Dee Stall Experience began with a simple question during Christmas 2019: What's the greatest gift we can give a child today?
Conceived during a somewhat dark time in our founder's life, the DSE was born with the mixture of an idea of what could be and of what once was. It was Christmas season 2019 when D'Andre Stallworth asked himself what would be a great gift to get a kid these days. This thought triggered memories of his childhood, which was filled with outdoor activities (foot races, make-shift skate ramps, water balloon fights). Then he asked himself, "What if I encouraged young people to explore their natural interests and abilities by curating an environment of fun activities?"
For our founder, D'Andre Stallworth, the answer wasn't found in a toy—it was found in memories. He remembered growing up in neighborhoods where children spent hours outside racing, creating games from their imagination, and building lifelong friendships through play.
Those memories inspired a vision: to reconnect today's youth with the power of community, healthy competition, and outdoor experiences that help them discover their unique gifts.
That vision became the Dee Stall Experience.
To us, the greatest gift a child can receive is one that highlights the uniqueness of the kid. Once Mr. Stallworth learned he could create a business with this idea, he got to work. In May 2022, DSE became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and just weeks later hosted its first community event in Compton, California.
It was held at 1500 Kay St. in Compton, CA. To the naked eye it would appear that the entire block came outside to enjoy the festivities. Children were outside having foot races, playing jump rope, pogo sticks, and much more. We had a live DJ, free haircuts, free food and drinks, and much more.
Families filled the streets, children laughed together, neighbors connected, and the response confirmed what we believed all along: when communities come together, lives are changed.
The success of the first event served as motivation for us to continue to push and chase our greatness going forward. Today, DSE continues that mission by creating unforgettable experiences through community events, school partnerships, youth wellness programs, and leadership development—bringing neighborhoods back together, one experience at a time.
